Was a great tune in 1993, I´m sure. Weird sounding now.

I kind of like the dude´s voice, the solid clock work drums not so much, nor the bass.

Petty, personal things which correspond to taste, of course.

His and Hearse - 8.5 of 10. Great stuff and will check out more of them! The song had a very pre-Jane's addiction "Stop" sound to it. Liked it!!!

It has its moments, but I just don't feel a whole lot of emotion and the riffs are a bit uninspiring. The singer sounds like a poor man's Mark Lanegan.

The video and song reminded me of something Beck may have created. Strange but caught my attention.

Some 90s music....

Collective Soul - Shine 7/10

I've always held a soft spot for Collective Soul. They've had some good ones in their days and Ed Roland does have a unique voice.

The MB loves this song, but I find it unbelievable and forced coming form a white Susan.

White people can't have soul I guess. That song is the tits. Trucks is a master in it, and Susan can belt it.

Have to be in the mood for this, but I dig it. I picture a nasty 50-60 year old putting this on and dancing around his wife before they make sex.

Being that I'm 25, I give it a 5.5/10
25 years from now I might bump it to an 8/10

Magnolia - Eric Clapton Feat. John Mayer

This was done for a JJ Cale cover album by Eric Clapton, in dedication to JJ after he died. I've destroyed the replay button on this.

Mayer/Clapton doing JJ Cale. 8/10. Mellow and had a cool laid-back groove and their voices sounded good together.

My favorite Jiminsong, I learned how to sing and play it really well, but there is only one Jimi and he was one of a kind.

5/10. I've never been a huge Radiohead fan, but I understand I fall in a minority. Pretty, but slow to develop

6/10 It's alright...not great...not bad. It sounds too mastered in my opinion. I feel like it's easily something that will get lost in the shuffle.

From S'port, I'll give it a 7.5 because it's from my home area. Tune will probably be in my head all morning now.

Another BOC song

Some of their better stuff is the lesser known.

quote:

The clock strikes twelve and moondrops burst
Out at you from their hiding place
Like acid and oil on a madman's face
His reason tends to fly away

Like lesser birds on the four winds
Like silver scrapes in May
Now the sands become a crust
And most of you have gone away

Come Susy dear, let's take a walk
Just out there upon the beach
I know you'll soon be married
And you want to know where the winds come from

I give Astronomy an 8.5/10. HAs some amazing lyrics and guitar parts.

Iron Maiden: Rime of the Ancient Mariner
Up the Irons!
Probably no band has done more with less radio play.
