7.75. Good rock song. Nice relaxing guitar. I can really see myself drinking a beer on the porch listening to this song. It is a little generic sounding.

Very eclectic group of instruments playing together. Banjo, bass, bassoon, soprano sax, steel drums. A solid 7 for me. I enjoyed the music and the musicians.

Layered, nostalgic, sad. This song would go great with a visual (vanilla sky). The Hospital beep struck a memory.

I've never "gotten" Tom Waits; but this particular song gets high marks from me if only for the fact that it sounds like something Mike Patton would be fine with residing in the list of Ipecac artists/tunes. Waits seems like the blue-collar version of David Byrne and "God's Away" has a kind of snappy, carnival-esque cadence that's altogether pleasing to the ear but disjointed at the same time.

Any band that shares a member with Rocket From The Crypt and Off! Is ok in my book!!

But man is that one long song and the lack of lyrics... Can only give it an 8

I don't have a new song to post, so we are atill on the Waylon Jennings one. But since Everywhere With Helicopter didn't get an official number, I'll give it a 9. Awesome song. GBV rocks.

Glad you posted a live recording, because the blues just doesnt translate for me in any other recorded format...

The musicianship is amazing and bonus points any time the good doctor is involved..

Definitely not my type of music or something that I would listening to on the regular. That being said, her voice is spectacular. 7 for her talent alone.

Let's switch this up a little.

Solid 8, I don't even care for too much rap. That song is pretty bad arse though.

9 for making me want to be walking in Venice Beach in a headband and tanktop with a boombox on my way to a kick arse beach party circa 1984.

Keeping it in the 80s
