Where you at? Situation? Conditions?

Sitting here in East Cobb/Marietta "trying" to get some work done online while my son watches movies.

Got a nice layer of slush already. Sounds like a break this afternoon and then tomorrow will be the mess. I'm thinking I should start cooking shite in my freezer now because I have a feeling I'll be without power for a while starting tomorrow.

If the temperatures are freezing outside, why not just keep your food out there?

Edit: did you mean so you'll have food to eat or because your food would spoil in freezer due to no power?

might be a thought for a bit but it's not going to be a hard freeze. Just a mess with temps hovering around freezing or just below. Thursday is supposed to be back to upper 40's and we might be out of power for a few days starting Wednesday

I decided to come into my office despite it being "closed" here in Sandy Springs... can someone paying closer attention than me tell me if/when I should bail on that idea? I'd be heading back into buckhead area.

I have a tee time around Lake Lanier at 2:10. I'm not capable of using the interwebz to find radar and detailed forecasts for my location, so will someone please interpret for me what's going on and tell me what I should do?

Oh, and then I have a flight from Atlanta to Charlotte to Raleigh. Will someone tell me if I will make it there on time?

Snowing heavy here in East Cobb. My yard is white. Even though it's not below freezing we've already had an house of sleet/ice pellets so I'd be home before dark just to avoid any build up. They said we might get a break late afternoon but then kick up heavy after 2am

Checking in from Loganville. I haven't seen any snow, but we are (or were) getting some sleet mixed in the rain. I ran out to pick up a few last minute things and there was some good sleet coming down about 9:45 eastern. Roads are still good, even off the high traffic areas.

Apparently a little further north in Gwinnett (316 corridor) saw snow starting early this morning.

That kind of weather right at or above freezing is pretty messy. Stay off the roads.

From the weather map, it looks like people north of Sandy Springs should consider staying home or going home right now if they are at work. Middle and southern parts of the metro....you are probably okay for now.

Got released early from work and just got back to East Cobb from North Avenue, drive was wet but traffic was light, only took about 25 minutes. Office will likely be closed tomorrow.

I was making fun of the people who come on here asking detailed questions like this without consulting their local NWS detailed forecasts.

however this storm is hitting some people and not some others. 10 miles could separate snow/ice from rain
