I have been using the remote app to use it in the meantime, but now that's giving me issues.

I'd like to pick one up instead of ordering online. Any recommendations? Haven't seen just the remote anywhere. We don't have an apple store in Lafayette I don't believe?

Oh and WHY THE frick DOES THE THING HAVE TO BE SO GODDAMN SMALL?

Best buy has them. $20. Sold where the Apple TV device is located. Saw them 2 weeks ago

Just fyi I thought my remote went out as well... bought another one and it still did not work. I just use the app

Coin battery goes out after a few years I replaced one battery and another entire remote that got washed for $17

If you have an AV slot open on a universal remote you can program the Apple TV to learn the play, menu, pause, rewind, and forward buttons on your remote (directional arrow keys as well for changing what app you want to select).
