Got cut off in Arkansas after 4 beers

Turns out there's some stupid state law that prohibits bars from serving more than 4 drinks to customers. On my way next door, but that could be the most pussy law I ever heard. And people give Oxford shite for closing their bars at 1:00? Please.

I would be pissed.
What if you are with a group watching a game? They have no idea if you are driving and I am drinking more than 4 beers while watching a game.

because the bar is liable if you get drunk and drive and get in a wreck. Dram shop laws. Look them up.

That was exactly what I said, but the bartender said she was on thin ice for the Super Bowl last week and her count manager was forcing it. I asked if I seemed drunk, and she said no, but that if I charged anymore it would be a red flag. Granted I'm next door now, but that's the biggest load of shite I've ever heard.

Walked, but still the law is flat out retarded. Do you think that law is going to stop a hardcore alcoholic? It only encourages bar hopping, which historically makes me much drunker than staying in one place.

Highly doubt it. Some woman I've never seen came up and whispered something in the bartender's ear. She wasn't near me at all, and from what the bartender said, her manager is an absolute count.
