Nice Buck killed on I-10 West

Just passed a nice buck hit by a van on I-10 West before Highland Road. Couldn't tell exactly what he was but was definitely a nice rack buck.

Yea, a mile or so before Highland Rd exit. Had traffic backed up due to rubberneckers.

Because there was a van all smashed up in the front right behind the deer and a cop and driver were standing looking at it.

It happens all the time down here, and the weird thing is half the time it's in the middle of the damn city. I don't understand how they get so far into these areas with no woods for miles.

A client of mine last week showed up to our office with an 8 point in the back of his truck during the middle of the day. Lady had hit in her SUV behind the Mall of Louisiana near the AMC movie theater. He got out and asked if she wanted it. She said no of course, so he loaded it in his truck.
