Today is the day it was bound to happen..they already sent out a statement of support welcoming him to the NFL (of course he'll be drafted) but more so, how many current NFL players you think say "frick it, Im gay too"? Gonna be a most interesting off season thats for damn sure! One thing is clear, this years NFL draft will be the most watched by a mile...ever!

Even if true, it won't have anything to do with Simms.

Looks like they already handled it. Everything else to be handled is in the hands of the media.

Then it'd be even less noteworthy

twitter has a way of taking away from the excitement... especially in the 1st round.

just have to know which people to follow.

Yeah thats the scary part..if he is to have a good long career, he needs to shun the media in all attempts by them to get him to "open up".

Too late. ESPN now owns the narrative of his career.

How about someone pointing out that being gay or straight has zero relevance to how well you play football.

Don't fool yourself. There are a lot of people who have been waiting for this to happen for a long time.

Or just watch ESPN to see Berman go "hmmm im thinking a LINEBACKER for the JETS here. Just a guess but maybe one from MICHIGAN STATE...."

But the NFL did a good job policing pick spoilers last season, atleast for the first round. Takes all the fun out of it when you get the tweet before its announced

i can't remember who it was but I swear I saw someone tweeting about Vaccaro just before the announcement.

at first i was pissed at myself for investigating.

then i was even more pissed that I chose to keep reading Saints Talk after the pick.

You want so badly for this to be a big deal

But it really won't matter much by the time the draft happens

I don't think this is anything close to a "Pandora's Box" like issue.
