Joey Barton... I guess he's a semi-star based on noteriety.

Maybe Zlatan if we are talking in terms of talent, but his douchebag shennanigans are so outrageous that it's almost endearing.

Agreed. That he's so overboard makes him one of the more entertaining players around (aside from some of his dives I tend to think of Luis Suarez as bordering on this as well).

I think Zlatan's as truly special player as a target striker. He gets a lot more criticism than his performance merits.

Also, a few who come to mind who I doubt anyone likes aside from fans of their clubs are Van Persie, Sergio Busquets, Dani Alves, Marcelo.

He's probably the one that draws the most strong opinion either way but I tend to think even more people really like Balotelli than hate him.

By the way, he was bawling on the bench after being subbed out against Napoli today. It was a weird scene.

John Terry is generally regarded as a piece of human garbage, specifically off the pitch...

Not a whole lotta live for Pepe either..

Definitely, not sure how I forgot to list him.

Pepe too (though his antics with Diego Costa in the Copa Del Rey were actually pretty humorous from my outside viewpoint).

A lot of people love to hate Ronaldo, but I think that is cooled down some.

He's honestly too good to not be popular.

Marcelo.

It's weird how under the radar he goes sometimes wrt some of the things that he does.

In a back line featuring Pepe and Sergio Ramos, he's probably the scariest person on it. Pepe has calmed down a lot. Sergio is just indiscriminately stupid, which isn't really scary. Marcelo will wait until the game is settled and then kick the shite out of you because you called him a name in the second minute.

I've heard they are some of the most dangerous sports fans in the world.

Interesting responses, curious about the play the villain type, not screwing his brothers wife shite

I went to the USA v Brazil friendly a couple of years ago in DC and it was crazy how dirty he played when you could watch all the shite he did when the ball was away. In a friendly no less.

It was as bad as watching Marco Materazzi against Totti at the Olimpico.

Also, as bad as Materazzi was, he was dirty in a Pepe way. . . laughing it off trying to get in the players head. . . with Marcelo it seems a more a raging hatred that bubbles up . . .

Yeah, he's calculating. He probably has a list of names somewhere. I'm sure that he has added a few a hundred over the past week.
