One of two of my bosses always gets mad that I leave early. But I get to the office 1-2 hours before anyone. Does he have a gripe. I don't need to be in the office as I frequently work from home.

Fact is he has little idea of what I do. He shows up late and stays late. I am never out of reach when needed.

Did you tell them how much earlier you come?

This is 21st century. They need to get cool with alternate start/end times. This is huge in houston due to traffic.

I get here 1.5 hours before everyone every day, and I leave 1 hour after everyone every day.

Do it right or don't do it at all.

Start copying that a-hole on your emails when you are in that early. He will get the message.

Tell him to get his lazy butt in the office when you do and he'll know why you leave earlier. Also, look for another job because this guy is just looking for things to complain about.

Early morning hours are twice as productive...you can get much more done before people start wasting your time.

I have three. Lots of people have multiple bosses. My boss, my boss's boss, and my boss's boss's boss. They're all very much involved in my job so I consider them all to be my boss.
That's how the real world works, boss.

Office life.

It's tough having multiple bosses. Mine are great but when they get in late, they make up for it by leaving early.

This is me too. I am between 1.5-2 hours ahead of everyone else in my office, and most nights I leave later. I don't like it very much, but I'm just trying to get my work done.

This! I normally get into the office around 7 AM everyday. However in the last year we have more and more employees showing up at that time and my time started to get wasted. I've recently started showing up at 6 AM instead and now I'm getting more shite done than ever.

This.

My boss and my boss' boss work directly with me. I also do projects for other people in upper management in our LOB, and their input to my boss goes directly into my annual review.

It's actually more like having clients, but yeah I answer to several people.

OP, does your boss actually get mad and say stuff or does he just kind of rib on you?
