Washington QB Cyler Miles and WR Damore'ea Stringfellow were suspended indefinitely by coach Chris Petersen on Thursday.

According to police reports obtained by KIRO 7, a white car pulled up behind a man as he walked along NE 55th St. after the Seahawks won Sunday night.

Two people, including one the victim identified as Stringfellow, hopped out of the car and asked him if he was a Seahawks fan.

Then they began hit him with "multiple punches" to his "left eye, chin, and cheek" before they hopped back in the car and took off, according to the report.

Afterwards, the man looked the players up on the Washington football roster.

The station also says that according to police reports, the same two players were also involved in a separate incident at a UW bonfire to celebrate the Seahawks' win over the Denver Broncos. A police spokesperson declined to identify to the station the two players being investigated.

Miles, a freshman in 2013, has been considered the leading candidate to start in 2014. He finished Washington's Fight Hunger Bowl win over BYU after Keith Price left the game with an injury. In three games in 2013, Miles was 37-61 passing for 418 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions.

Stringfellow, also a freshman last season, had 20 catches for 259 yards and a touchdown.

Will end having an article written about him where he blames UW for not starting him his freshman year. Which therefore led to all his problems.

This seems kind of random unless he knew for sure they were football players.

Sort of sounds like they are implying he recognized one of them, but obviously its not clear.

I dont get this...

College athletes are high profiled people on college campuses and that city. They are the most popular people on most campuses. Some places they are almost on celebrity status.

How do they think they can do shite like this and get away with it? And in public. Especially if 1 of them is the future at QB. Everyone knows who you are.

What the hell are they doing?

Isn't UW in seattle? Were they gonna jump the entire city?

Wow. Well although I respect Petersen for doing this, on the bright side, it's almost a god send to him. It's a chance for him to get his message across early regarding team discipline.

Not if it's your young starting QB and he could potentially miss spring practice.

If there was a positive identification and it's proven to be them, then they should be booted immediately.

When the alleged victim told a friend about what happened, the friend told him it sounded like the men who allegedly attacked him were also involved in an earlier “scuffle” near the couch-burning celebration at NE 47th Street and 19th Avenue NE.

Using the UW football roster, the alleged victim identified two players as his attackers, according to police.

At the previous altercation, according to police, the alleged victim’s friend witnessed at least one of the suspects wearing a red, short-sleeved shirt, then saw a female fall to the ground and heard someone yell, “yo, string, let’s go!”

Both suspects were wearing dark clothing, according to the report, and one of them was wearing a black, long-sleeved shirt with the UW logo on the right chest area.

Victim wasn't targeted for his allegiance. He was targeted for something else.

This story makes zero sense.

Is this the "knockout game?"

Because UW students going around punching people "because they're Seahawks fans" - is the lamest "alleged" motive I've ever heard.
