Put a grade for how this class turned out as far as addressing team needs and signing the talent.

I say B+

You can't sign the #2 class in the country and only get a B+

Grades are usually reserved until the players perform on a college level. However, I rate the class an A.

Jesus, Id say A. Has a chance to rival the 2009 class IMO.

Good point. I only say B+ because we missed out on the obvious ones. Plus the lack of an OT. Although I do think either Clapp or Brumfield can develop into a tackle.

Hill out LF7 in = A+
Ego out Valentine in = A+
Freak out LMAFO in = A+
Landry out Duinn in A+
OBJ out Dupre in A+
CL out Adams in A+
ZM out Harris in A+

Add our other guys from class in?

I give it an A...... getting the ones we missed on (CamRob, Hootie, Speedy, Gw3, KY) would have given us an A+++

But im really happy we finished so strong.

DE: A
DT: A-
LB: A-

Addressed all pressing needs. Would have liked to get an offensive tackle, but we seem to be off to a great start in 2015 for this need.

A- only bc we really really really needed more OL particularly OT. But other than that A++ we had a great class, with the most character and smarts of any I can remember recently. Last years had some high character guys also.

Got to give us an A for Washington. He's elite.

However, I can see where you're coming from.

Considering everything including the nega's mentality.

A+

Does anyone know that we finished 2nd in the country with 6 Top 300 in staters leaving?

Stick a B where the sun doesnt shine.

You do realize we lost 3 in-state five stars, right?

No doubt. I wasn't sure whether or not he'd end up at TE or split out as a WR. Also, didn't want to look like a huge homer and give us all As

If we signed an OT, it would've been an A+

I put this eval together in an SEC Rant thread:

QB - A

Brandon Harris is a great dual threat prospect that's already shown solid leadership skills through the Under Armour game and his efforts to solidify the rest of the class.

RB - A+

Leonard Fournette. Sky is the limit. Darrell Williams would be the best back in most classes and could see some PT as a freshman too.

WR - A+

Two top 10 WRs (Quinn and Dupre) plus Chark and Upchurch... solid top to bottom. Dupre is the #1 or #2 WR in the country and Quinn broke all the HS WR records.

TE - A

Jacory Washington is a highly coveted prospect that anyone would have wanted in their class.

OL - B-

Great prospects in Clapp and Brumfield, but I really wish we could have recruited a couple more (especially at Tackle) this year.

DE - A

Godchaux is a great prospect...big and athletic... and Teuhema was a great pull this morning. Held on to the #1 recruit out of Oklahoma (Deondre Clark). We missed out on a couple of really highly touted DEs in this class (to UF and UGA), which offers some disappointment here, but it's still a great haul.

DT - A

Staff hit a home run picking up 2 DTs in the final hours. Valentine is enormous and Trey L will be great too.

LB - A-

Garret could start right away at ILB, and is a natural leader. Alexander is a fine prospect too. Could have used Kenny Young.

CB - B+

Ed Paris will be a star and did a lot of work to get this class where it is today. Gage earned a late offer and looks like he could be a solid contributor. Unfortunately we couldn't reel in Tony Brown or Adoree.

S - A+

Jamal Adams is going to be an absolute stud. Devin Voorhies has been a solid Tiger for over a year and has reeled in the accolades in his senior season. John Battle is so much of a sleeper that I had to edit him in here.

ST - B+

Gamble seems like a little bit of a, well, gamble, but I trust the staff on kicking prospects. The lack of a clear returner prospect kind of bothers me but I'm sure it'll all shake out in the end.

Overall: A
This class would be #1 most years and could end up being the best one Les Miles has put together yet.

Godchaux is most likely going to play DT.
