As great as it is, the 2014 LSU class is way underrated!! I just viewed the videos of all the three star recruits. They all look like four or five star players.

Upchurch looks like an all American, very fast, great hands, tough to tackle!

Lealaimatafao is a beast, almost unblockable and very quick for a big man!

Teuhema is fast, tough to block and hits like a freight train!

Gage is an incredible athlete who looks like a hurdler. Looks like he can play any of the skill positions!

Chark look like a "real deal" wide receiver. Great hands, speed and tough to tackle.

The video on Alexander was limited, so I didn't get to see enough to rate him, but he certainly isn't afraid of contact!

And just for good measure, I watched Williams highlights as well. Yes, he is rated as a four star, but he looks like a five star. Most of his highlights on Rivals were runs where he was never tackled. About the only way they stopped him was to knock him out of bounds.

WOW! Alabama's class may be ranked higher on paper, but I can't believe it is better!

Bring it on!!!!

It's advertised as NUMBER 2!

What are you talking about?

Ok, I'm a little pumped! But I'm not taking back anything I said. Time will show just how good this class is. The whole SEC is just getting better. Six schools in the top 10 in this year's class. But for sure, LSU will compete in a large way!

Upchurch is a 4 star on some services. Yes, he is a solid player that ended the process early.

Quick, but on the short side. If he was 6'2 then he would be a top 100 player. Low 4 to high 3 star is accurate for him.

He is a low 4 star on some services. He uses his hands well and shows good potential. His hips are a little tight which makes him a little more straightline than the agile pass rusher he should be at 215. Potential exists though. I think a low 4 star is reasonable.

Good hips and solid athlete. Low 4 or high 3 is reasonable.

He's a solid player. I was impressed by his film. Low 4 star would be fitting but he ended the process early and did not make himself as available to be seen against top competition.

He wasn't very impressive in the Superdome. Kenny Young was the best player there on that weekend.

He is no where near a five star caliber player. He is probably too highly rated as a strong 4 star and is more a low end 4 or high 3 star player.

I would be willing to bet you know practically nothing about Bama's class outside of its ranking.

Watch videos of players on the other top 5 teams.

They're all good. Alabama, Florida, LSU, Ohio State, Texas, etc do not take scrubs.

I don't think we're underrated, I think we're right where we should be.

You are absolutely correct! I did not go to Bama's website and look at their videos. Therefore I am blowing a little smoke. I do believe the Tiger's class is better than their ranking showed. However I am excited regardless! The future looks bright to me!

Thank you. Our class is great, there's no need to compare it to Bama's.

And, if you're that desperate to do so, literally everyone who does this for a living has them #1 and us #2.

Probably true! I am just thankful that LSU is there and appears to be remaining there. The program is stable, the coaches competent, and they recruit at a high level!

It's frustrating at times as it is for all the top programs, but overall a great time to be a Tiger!

I think the Quality of character kids we got is the thing that is being over looked.

Seeing Bama on top again in the rankings after losing 2 straight Russell's my Jimmies.

No one can outwork and out recruit Nick Saban.. I just got to honest, I hate finishing 2nd to them in anything.

Sooner or later, his little dominance is going to be torn down.. Our Class and the 015 class just might do that

Does anyone here think they can discern a 3 star froma 4 star recruit? In the first place, those "stars" represent an aggregate of subjective opinions of guys, many of whom still live in their mom's basement, who are guessing at about a 40% rate.

That said, LSU got a hell of a class on paper. Lets hope they produce.

I agree with the fact that these recruiting analysts opinions are just that, an opinion. And they are wrong a lot

But there's a definite connection between the SEC being the best conference and the SEC dominating recruiting. 7 of the 10 top classes are SEC schools

your additional comment were pretty good except for that one. Williams runs like a freight train and is under rated. Should be a high 4 star or (if he would have gotten better exposure and hype) a 5 star.

gtfo out with this shite. Really how much diff is their class vs ours, maybe one player diff that just so happen to spurn us and has a sister that runs track for us.

I assure you saban doesnt out work Les on the recruiting trail. His dominance is already been torn down, lose 2 straight one being to an auburn team that went winless the year before.
