This started yesterday about mid-morning, I pulled my phone out of my pocket and the battery life was below 10%. I closed all my apps and powered off the phone and turned back on.

This morning after it charged all night I went to the gym and played Pandora for about and hour and by the time I left it was below 50%............now this morning with it just sitting on my desk it is already down to 25%.

I've closed all apps and such and did a "hard reset".

Anyone have any ideas as to what is causing this. The phone is only a few months old as Apple replaced by old one because the battery was weak.

My Iphone 5 is fine, but I know someone else with a similar problem. They have a battery on order and will replace it since they aren't retarded. Look on Amazon the batteries are pretty cheap and easy to replace.

Funny thing in the last week I noticed this with my iphone 5s. I did a couple of resets and all is good now.

Weird thing I noticed is that I would shut down all apps and set it down for a while and when I would pick up the phone the power had actually gone up. In one case it had gone from 65-80%. That makes me believe that the battery percentage is calculated real time based on what is open at that time.

Might want to shut down unused apps in the background and reset and see if that helps.

Call your phone company and talk to them. A while back I had this problem so I called AT&T, they said that an app was not closing and was continuously running in the background, even though I closed all my apps. I think they winded up changing out my SIM card

everyone must be following signing day....................an iphone thread can usually at a minimum get an iphone vs. android fight started.

had a similar problem last summer...took it to the apple store, they opened it up and said the battery was loose so they did something to make it not move around...appeared like it was fixed for about a week then it started having battery problems again....took it back to the apple store and they said the charging dock was broken...they replaced my phone

seems to be a common iphone 5 problem. 2 friends of mine have had the same thing happen to them

Having your Wi-Fi on and your screen brightness up to the max could also be a huge problem to your battery.
