I think this is a pretty obvious "yes".

Might not start immediately, but will get in the rotation early on. And lock down a starting spot by mid season.

From day 1? Nope. Dural and Diarse. Later in the year? Maybe.

Early on, it'll prolly be he and Quinn competing for the 3rd spot but what a luxury that is...

Doubtful, knowing Miles' track record with starting true freshmen....but we did see him ease up on that a bit this last season, so who knows.

It never ceases to amaze me the people who every recruiting year think the new freshman will come in and play early, often, or start.

It takes a spectacularly talented player in the right situation to play early. WR is typically not one of them. The complexities of route running and more importantly, blocking ability are often not present with incoming freshman.

Everyone is talking about how Valentine is gonna come in and be the space eater we need. Yeah, maybe limited action and more likely for 2015. We had 5 star Herron unable to get into the line up with our less than typical LSU line last year.

These guys are important gets, but at the level LSU is these days freshman making serious impacts are rare.

Last year we had freshman at the corners and we saw how that went. They are good but young and make mistakes.

Miles has played true freshman for years. Beckham and Landry both played as true freshman. Beckham was only behind Randle. Even Boone and Wright got a lot of snaps their true freshman years. So did every other receiver that earned their spots.

Dupree's catching ability, mixed with his blocking ability from high school, puts him in a good position to play a lot, maybe even start

Who do yall think has been the best freshman LSU has had the past 15 years? Is the obvious answer Tyrann Mathieu? Just curious.

I was thinking 1999 and Faulk, but totally ignored that fact he was a freshman many years before that. My bad.
