As a kid in the 80's, I remember everyone always saying that Eddie Debartolo had mafia ties and basically had the fix put on every 49ers game.

Why would the NFL care who won that game? And if they were going to fix it wouldn't they fix it in favor of the Niners considering they are a much more prominent franchise?
