Staying the night in Denver before making the final 2.5 hours to the ski resort the next day. Would like to stay somewhere near some cool bars/breweries and preferably within walking distance. Any recommendations?

KOA campground tent site. About 15 miles east of the city.

I stayed at the Marriott right next to the pepsi center, they have a shuttle to anywhere within like 5 miles and we took it to the bars right next to coors.
Pro Tip: do not valet park at the parking garage adjacent to the hotel for free.

Oxford, Westin, Marriott Courtyard, Sheraton, Hyatt, Grand Hyatt, Magnolia, Marriott are all good.

Lots of good responses. Thanks, guys. Any must-see breweries near downtown?

are you wanting a tour, or just to drink?
if just to drink, go to The Source. It is just a cool building with restaurants, Crooked Stave taproom, butcher shop, cheese shop, etc
just a cool place to spend an evening

LoDo usually has some good spots, names are escaping me right now.

Yeah just to drink most likely. We won't be getting into Denver until after 5 pm.

Pete Carroll has a lot space in Fox's head for pretty cheap.

If you go to the LoDo area which is what the hood around Coors Field is called, you have a choice of several breweries all within walking distance. River North brewing, Great Divide, Breckenridge (taproom) and a couple of others.A lot of the breweries close early...7 or 8pm. But Falling Rock Tap House is right there too and is one of the best pubs in the country for craft beer.

Freshcraft. Awesome food + great beer. Stay around there (15th and Blake)
