Does anyone have a recommendation on someone that will come out and troubleshoot a whole house stereo system that is on the fritz? The guy that installed it was a complete fubar (cementing my belief that if their card says "Christian Owned and Operated" thou shalt prepare thy anus) and the guy that LSUDad sent over long since moved to Houston. It could be as simple as programming on the receiver being screwed up by clueless teenagers trying to have a party when Dad's not home, it could be individual keypad issues, or some combination of both. In any case, it exceeds my limited ability and non-existent patience to restore it.

Turn it off. Wait 10 seconds. Turn it back on.

You're welcome.

My whole house stereo system is two speakers. You can definitely hear it throughout the house.

Even then a ground wire came out of one speaker ever so slightly and I thought I had to have my amp fixed. Trying to get a grey market Chinese amp worked on is a bitch too.

I actually tried rebooting as my first attempt, thinking it had been made by Microsoft. Alas, not that easy...

It's an M4. Keypads in three areas, all either flash all the lights, or a single source light. Won't work, regardless of source, and when it rarely does come on, the volume is blaring and cannot be controlled.

Do the keypads light up? Do they respond to commands (ie change screen information when you choose a source)? Is one room messed up? Are all rooms messed up? Do any sources play?

Which controller? M4 of M6?

I looked at the quick start guide. It's a pretty basic system. Programming is done through proprietary software so it's doubtful that kids got into that as only the installer would have the software.

If it's bad equipment let me know if you have a problem with finding replacement parts. Could maybe even work out a BXN deal with you.

M4. All keypads messed up at least some, only one works intermittently on certain sources, but without being able to turn the others off or at least lower the volume beyond the pain threshold, it's essentially unusable too.
