I'm in the marker for a .22 revolver. I like the looks and the large grip/frame of the tracker. I know the autos don't get much love round here, but what do y'all think about the revolvers? TIA!

Don't really know. But if an inter-changeable cylinder, single action revolver is what you're after...Heritage Arms Rough Rider is great for about 200 bucks. Surprisingly accurate, cheap little plinker.

THE OB HATES ALL TAURUS GUNS.

THEY ARE HORRIBLE UNDEPENDABLE USELESS AND DANGEROUS FIREARMS THAT WILL JUST AS LIKELY FALL APART IN YOUR HAND OR EXPLODE AND CAUSE SIGNIFICANT SHRAPNEL DAMAGE TO YOUR FACE AS THEY WILL OPERATE PROPERLY.

NOTHING ANYONE POSTS OR SUPPORTS ABOUT THESE FIREAMS IS USEFUL AND THE HERESAY AND RUMOR FROM YEARS AGO IS THE ONLY GUIDING BAROMETER OF THE USEFULNESS OF THESE INFERIOR CHEAP GUNS.

OWNING ONE MEANS YOU ARE POOR AND MAKE POOR CHOICES AND CARRYING ONE MAKES YOU ONE OF THE DUMBEST PERSONS ON THIS BOARD.

That being said I carry of my two Taurus .40's every single fricking day and stake my life on them.

My .44 mag and judge are holding up very nice. They're well built IMO. No probs with them.

I'm guessing your response is similar to the "fat women, sex, and mopeds" metaphor?

Taurus makes solid guns, especially their revolvers. Give me a Raging Bull.

Fun to ride, as long as your friends don't see you.

I think I'm gonna get it. Not exactly cheap for a .22. The 992 stainless .22/.22 mag is about $150 more than i paid for my sig mosquito and M&P .22 auto's.

My first handgun was a Taurus Ultra-lite .38. My second was a .40 PT24/7 pro DS. I've never had to use one in a self defense capacity, but wouldn't be scared of either.

Long story short-Ain't nothin wrong with a Taurus, as far as I'm concerned.

I have a .357 tracker, bought it around 2001 or so. Definitely been good to me.

My first pistol was a taurus milennium subcompact .45

Kicked like a mule, was innacurate, rattled like hell, but it went bang every time

I enjoy plinking in the back yard. I have two .22 auto's , now I have a hankering for a revolver. Not many options in .22 revolver, between "old west" and "modern"'styles.

I don't have much bad to say about them. I don't like the grips, and I don't like the liberal lock.

With wood grips and a better trigger, it would feel very smith and wesson-ish

I have a taurus model 65 .357 that I got for backpacking in New Mexico (black bear & cougar).

The action was a little rough feeling at first, but it broke in very very well after 300-400 rounds and a bunch of just sitting around rapidly dry firing it. Now it's smooth as glass.

It doubles as my wife's home defense weapon loaded with .38 +P
