I can't say that I disagree with that. Just because a team makes it to the superbowl and loses, doesn't mean that they are automatically the second best team in the league.

Is this different from almost any other year since 1980?

Saints can have the Bronze. They'd beat the Broncos too.

I disagree with that. Literally everything went wrong for Denver last night. They could play that game 100 times and not have not end that badly again.

One game doesn't erase an entire body of work.

In the last 32 years...the NFC has won 22 super bowls. So I'll ask again...is this news?

If only this applied to the 2007 NE Patriots. Man, did people lose all sense of logic with that.

Really??? Do some homework....

In 1990 the Bills -Giants had the two best teams
In 1991 the AFC was actually the sb.. Detroit got destroyed by Washington.
In 1983 the SB had the two beest teams in the Raiders and -Skins.

In 1980 the AFC title game was better than the NFC title game.

In 1984 the SB had the two best teams.. Miami and SF.

2000 the SB had the two best teams in the Giants and the Ravens..

In 1981 the SB had the two best teams in SF and CINN.

In 1998 Atlanta vs. Minn was a battle of good teams, But Denver won the SB by beating Atlanta.

You think that the 2003 NFC champ game had two better teams than the Pats were that year????

You may wanna rethink your post....

I fail to see how the AFC was the SB when Detroit and Washington are NFC and Washington won both the NFCC and the SB that year

Say that about 2011 LSU football to any non LSU fan and see how they react.

Are you kidding? Other fan bases (excluding Bama) give us way more credit for that year than our own fans do.

ETA: And LSU was still at worst the second best team that year. Everything went wrong for us just like for Denver last night. Doesn't erase everything we accomplished that year, regardless of what some idiots in here say.

Ok...but your point was that the AFCC was the SB that year. The bills won a close one in the AFCC and got beat by the Redskins in the SB...i think I get what you are saying in that the SB was 1 vs 2 but your wording in the original post was confusing
