Why do people care SO much about Manning and the who is the best QB ever talk?

People get SO passionate about Manning/ Brady/ Brees/ Montana/ Elway/ Marino/ etc
Very rarely can posters on this board just look at what happened and what occurs objectively in the NFL.
I like Manning. I think he is better than Brady.
I think Brady gets credit for defense, superb coaching, and special teams play in his Super Bowls.
I think Montana is better than everyone.
I think Elway is overrated.
I think Brees has an OUTSIDE shot at the GOAT if a lot falls his way.
Do I REALLY care? No.
Is Manning a choker...yes he has been.
Is Brady great? Yes
Is Brees better than either accomplishment wise...not close yet...
Why can't objective discussion be had about these guys?
It's ALL one way or ALL the other...why?
They are all great with the exception of Elway...I'm sticking to my guns on that

I really don't think there's an objective way to measure best QB ever.
It's the complete bullshite that gets slung against the walls in the days following a game that rustles my jimmies.

The NBA is a sport where one player can legitmately take over a game.
The QB usually has to give the ball away for something to happen. Most points from a QB necessarily involve other players completing the play and a WHOLE set of other players playing defense.

I didn't realize NFL teams had shrunk to 5 players playing both offense and defense to justify such arguments being more prevalent.

I have no vice about the qb battle for GOAT... However, Anyone that says Elway is overated is a stupid frick.....Just sayin.
