I'm going to try and sell it without getting a realtor for obvious reasons to wanna make as much money as i can. Is there a popular site to list houses on without having to pay for the services? I've heard of certain apps, but honestly do not know the first thing about selling a house.

Well that's just not true, but hopefully the OP has a house in a good area in good condition that shows well. Otherwise prepare to be on the market quite a while.

i checked out fsbo, but its basically spending 150-200$ to list your house on their site. Trying to avoid that for now

I'm sure i may end up going a realtor route, but just seeing what my options are for now

I've sold a house using Forsalebyowner.com
Flat flee it lists the house on the MLS. You are in charge of the rest like showing the house etc.

In the end it didn't help me because other then the for sale sign I put up. My neighbor ended up buying the house 3 days after put the sign up and she paid all the attorney fees. Win Win.

Nah it is not that hard. If u use a the site forsalebuyowner.com. They basicslly give u all the info u need and include a "how to guide".
Social media is great for letting the public know ur house is available.

Most agents that have buyers won't even bring their clients by your house if it is listed as a FSBO. They don't want to deal directly with the seller.

You will end up getting a realtor

This is how mine was unless we specifically asked to see the house.

I bought it right when I graduated about 7 years ago. It's not in the "greatest" part of town, but its not bad by any means. great rental property for a college student. (its around LSU) Done some work on it interior over the years, but could use a little work on the outside. nothing major

this is correct and a MLS listing is what you're pretty much paying for.
OP,you do know what MLS is right?

Damn u are a tight wad. Letting as many people knowing that ur house is for sale is by far the most important thing. The legal paperwork side is easy and u can get all the required forms online.

it's how people that don't ride right in front of your house know it's for sale.

My folks have bought and sold two homes in the U-Club in the last 8 years using FSBO. They swear by it.
