I think a meltdown was a factor (I think he was psyched after the safety) but I think you can also argue that he was able to lead a non-Super Bowl ready team to the Super Bowl.

He went to a team that won a playoff game with Tim Tebow at QB. The same guy who is currently out of the NFL. The Broncos were good before Manning got there.

They were easily the best team in the AFC, problem with that is the AFC was pretty weak this year.

It was a team choke, not just a Manning choke.

The game should've been closer.

I don't think you can remotely argue this.

They just had an awful game in all facets. You play the game today and they may stomp Seattle, we'll never know. They were just absolutely dreadful last night, and Seattle came ready to play.

I agree with you. Denver was clearly not ready to play.

Tim Tebow led a bad team to the playoffs.

See how stupid this argument is?

The Broncos are good. You don't lose by 35 points without the entire team choking.

A quarterback also doesn't shatter every passing record in the NFL only to play poorly in the SB without choking.

The Broncos with any QB not named Manning, Brady, Brees, or Rodgers probably don't make the Super Bowl.

And therein lies the curse of Peyton, a victim of his own success. He carries these teams through the regular season with his superhuman effort but then becomes merely mortal in the postseason.

i've been saying all year that the Broncos peeked in the first month of the season. They were incredible opening up the season but then they seemed like they started coasting. Manning threw 7 TDs against the defending super bowl champs in week 1 and then they got less and less impressive every week after that

This is definitely true

... Manning was great in the playoffs up to this game. But I see where you are going...

The matchup was just shite for Denver, especially playing from behind. Seattle set the tone and Denver didn't make any plays until it was too late.

The entire team choked, Every player is as responsible as the last. The Oline wasn't blocking, The WRs weren't catching the ball and fumbled. Payton threw a bad pick, and then had his arm hit on a few plays. The Defense wouldn't tackle WRs
