Saban had a better record in his 2 seasons than Carroll did in his first two.

QB salaries vs the salary cap. A lot more room to pay better players for Seattle...

Same thing with the Saints by the way

And Saban improved the dolphins his first year, got unlucky with Brees failing a physical and ended up with goddamn Cleo Lemon and Gus Frerotte. Things fell apart at the end of his 2nd season, but he wasnt a miserable failure.

Hence the reason they were so pissed in Miami when he left.

I don't know what this proves. He still quit.

When you quit you forfeit the right to be called one of the best coaches ever.

that two years isn't enough time. Look at Belichick's first two years for another example.

I didn't say he was the greatest. Who cares?

His players love playing for him, and he loves his players. He's a great coach and leader. Would read a book if he wrote it.

Carol has turned out to be a much better evaluator of talent in the NFL. Look at all the elite mid round picks.
