Spending a weekend in New Orleans with another couple for my wife's birthday. Looking for a tasty and informative F&B tour. We've enjoyed many of the name restaurants in town over the years but we are hosting out of state friends and would like to put on autopilot and take in a portfolio New Orleans flavor and history. Is there a tour or tour company that can provide a quality program?

Thanks Rohan. Do you know anything about them? I think I'll give them a call tomorrow.

What meals of the day and what days of the week? I know its a weekend, but will you be there for Friday meals or Sunday meals?

Any cost, food type or dress requirements?

Dates? If during Mardi Gras, could make a difference.

Does location matter?

Eat at Peche, Patois, La Boca, Irene's, Sylvain, Emeril's...how many times can you eat a day and is there a budget?

My gf knows the tour guides, Terry and Brett. Said they're very fun and knowledgable. The tour is cool in the sense that you learn a lot about the cultural influences in the cuisine, from the Italians, Africans, Sicilians, Spanish, Asian, etc.

Pretty solid list.

I would probably bump Irene's.

I hit La Petit Grocery on Saturday night.

Justin knocked it out of the park. It was the best meal I've had there.

I just tried to throw an Italian place in there. Eleven 79 or Maximos or Italian Barrel or Domenica...

I usually don't eat Italian when I'm in the city.

Good thing. Because the vast majority of them suck. I couldn't believe how awful the food at Cafe Giovanni was.
