21 Jump Street couldn't have cast him in a more annoying role.

Yeah, that was the worst part of the movie.

He's too much of a pussy to take out Coors Light.

I always thought of Ice Cube as being the Alice Cooper of hip-hop. Crazy public image, controversial lyrics but really just a normal middle class guy underneath it all.

Just finished Ride Along and I've officially decided that he sold out.

Actual line from the movie, "I gotta say, today was a good day".

Also, Kevin Hart doing a Training Day parody had me in stitches.

He is a good example of what happens when someone actually breaks the cycle of poor. They figure out that being a thug isn't really all that.

The guy is talented, no doubt.

He's an entertainer. The fact he's done all that he has is a testament to how smart he really is.

Except Ice Cube didn't really grow up that poor. Both of his parents were around: his mom worked in a hospital and his dad was a groundskeeper at UCLA. I'm not saying they were taking family vacations to Paris, but unless he had a bunch of siblings, they were OK.

You took 3 pictures all from roughly the same time period, then 1 picture from like 15 years later.

This is not a very good "evolution" thread.

No different than him looking up at the camera when he drops the ice cube on the floor in Friday

guy's a pretty good lyricist and writer. good enough to lead off on just about every NWA song he was a part of. and had solo songs within the group. and had a good album after he left them.

then he started acting. can't be in movies like friday and boyz n the hood forever. so he went the eddie murphy route. and sleeps on piles of money.

it's one way to do it.

edit: i know no one cares but this post allows me to mention one of my favorite rap songs of all time: "The grand finale" which was the final track on the DOC's album and as far as i know cube's last association with NWA. cube's got a great verse.

You left out his best role. Drama at its finest.
