Good news: I'm taking a new job in the DFW area (killa' job, can't pass it up)

Bad news: I'm leaving the parti gras SE LA scene, friend and family.

What should I look forward to in DFW?

Sounds good.

I hate to leave my beloved Republic of West Florida (a second time)
but Texas has LA all beat to hell with better jobs.

There are a lot of skanks if you are into that sort of thing, very true.

The two airports are really handy for travel.

I always tell people it's a nice place to live but you wouldn't want to visit - i.e. it's got all the city amenities but there's not much you'd drive a long way to see.

Of course, the best amenity is a great job market so if you get dead-ended in the one you are coming for you don't have to move again unless you just want to.

Get somebody young to tell you where the 20 year olds like to live. If my office is any indication there are a lot of hot girls that age, too bad I am old enough to be their dad, but not really because they are annoying but on the other hand if you are young you are probably horny so you'd be amenable to putting up with their shite.

Nah... Congrats on the new gig though

My brother lives there and loves the area. He lives in uptown and he doesn't see himself moving back to LA any time soon. He's only 24 though.
