Went there for the first time tonight.

I was impressed. Got the 3 piece fried chicken platter. VERY good. Great crunch on the chicken, and the batter was tasty. And it was piping hot. Came with sweet cornbread (very tasty) and mac and cheese (wow).

Wife got hamburger steak and mac and cheese. Her's was a little on the small size it seemed, but it was plenty for her.

Decent crowd on a friday night. But I hope they make it. The manager (and maybe the owner?) was going on asking everyone how there food was.

They have a nice looking bar. They also serve beignets, and milkshakes with beer. They sounded good, but I was too full from the meal.

Glad to hear that. We went a few months back and enjoyed it as well. My only complaint was that I lost at Skeeball.

I heard some friends talking about this place. I want to bring my son because I know he would love to try their poutine.

We go about 2-3mths... always good food. burgers are good, fried chicken is fricking good and any of their poutine shite will kill you, but it might be worth it.
Oh and they have fricking beer shakes
haven't had one yet b/c every time we go we are at work...

Had one yesterday actually.... very seldom will I eat one at lunch, hate being all full and shite while trying to conduct business the rest of the day
the bun was a tad sweet, but not overpowering like at a mugshots.
the patti was solid though, i'd get it again.
The manager who is there always comes and checks on you, so thats nice. Tap selection isn't terrible considering how many they have, think there happy hour on thursday is at 5 and is 2 for 1 saint arnold beers. Might try to head there before a ball game and get a beer shake

I tried the beer shake and it was better than expected, not too bad. I always forget about this place but it's been good every time I've gone, that sweet potato side is legit.

Chef Troy works at 18 Steak at L'Auberge BR and is also involved at Leroy's. They had a popup dinner the other night with a duck Po boy and "chicken and pancakes" that Troy paired with Firefly.

Very annoyed I didn't make it. But they have the right people in the kitchen and a solid team behind them. Don't see them not making a go of it. Chef Troy is good at what he does...

Best deal in town for a basketball game 1 free draft beer with ticket and $20 for a bucket of beer(6 beers) and bucket of chicken(6 pieces) and you can choose what pieces you want

Its a great spot for comfort food. Atmosphere similar to Walk On's but with infinitely better food. The fried chicken is fried and battered very well, although it could use more spice, and the red beans are really good and come with a ton of ham. Good prices too.

I love this place...Great fried chicken. I just moved into the area a couple of months ago and I try to hit up Leroy's at least once a week.

Behind Walk-on's. On Nicholson. Under the hotel (Comfort Suites?). Right next to Definitions. Can't miss it.

Some places just can't get out of the 80's.

I don't know anything about Chef Troy, but if he's involved with 18 Steak, I'm sorry, but then he isn't good at what he does. 18 Steak was one of the worst meals at a nice restaurant I have ever had. And I've heard and read the same from many others. 18 Steak has so much potential to be a gold mine. L'Auberge has really dropped the ball with that one.

Way to add absolutely nothing of relevance to the thread.

We went before a basketball game. Food was fine. Service was awful. Management seemed incompetent.

Went a couple of weeks ago. It was good, but not Delpit's good. That location is tough, it seems. Not sure why, given it's proximity to campus.

Based on tonight's experience...good chicken, a couple pieces I would consider over fried, skin too dark when it came out, but pleasant spice and crispy skin. Mac n cheese was a solid attempt, should've been served hotter imo. I dug the pulled pot roast poutine, could've used more gravy, but served piping and tasted good. Good, friendly service at the bar. Would recommend this place.
