Heard they recently came out with an offline patch and that if it wasn't for the servers being screwy, the game would be pretty good.

So since there is offline mode and the servers aren't too bad anymore, should I purchase?

I enjoyed the hell out of it. I probably wouldn't mind going back to it some time. It consumed my life for like 2 weeks

I've got more hours into sc4 than any game I've ever owned, and I have not and will not buy this version until they create either larger maps or contiguous city sites. As is, it's sim village not sim city.

It's still like $30

I love SC games but for what they done to this one I refuse to give EA $30 for it. It will get cheaper soon. The offline patch is their last ditch effort of desperation since this game has been a bust pretty much.

Forgot about that. Yeah, no purchase then.

I'm eventually going to break down and buy it. I know I will. I'm surprised I've held off this long. Simcity 4 is second only to CIV 5 in "games that consumed way too much of my time"

I have it. Waste of money. The map size thing is a game killer for a game of this nature.

Are the cities still limited in size? Did they add intersttaes and mass transit (subways, etc.)? Did they fix all the screwed up city services?

Oh, no they didn't, so know instead of playing a crappy game only onine, I can play it offline as well!!

SimCity 4 only one i will play.
