New Orleans Arena soon to be Smoothie King Center?

So I have a source saying the naming rights deal is basically done and Smoothie King is the buyer. How do y'all feel about the Smoothie King Center? I don't hate it. Better than magic bracelets. Won't be announced until close to All-Star weekend.

Considering Joel Meyers is our announcer, I'm sure we'll grow to like it. I never thought I'd like Pels but he sold me on it. I have no problem with Smoothie King, but Smoothie King Center doesn't seem very Pelicany like The Dock/Pier/Perch.

There are a ton of them in NOLA, with a bunch of the franchisees throwing money into the pot to have an endorsement from Jeremy Shockey the past few years.
Them getting the naming rights for the NO Arena may mean they are working with Benson on other deals as well.

It might be legit, from what was known previously, the buyer was a formally local company whose headquarters currently reside out of state. Guesses were all over the place. I honestly had no idea Smoothie King even started in Louisiana.

You're right... I was thinking "Saint TE from Miami" and got the wrong one.
A Jeremy Shockey endorsement might cost you a few drinks at the bar in Vegas these days.
