Random fact:

Emmitt Smith averaged 3.9ypc his first year and his longest rush was 48 yards. 241 attempts for 937 yards

Mark Ingram's first 241 attempts went for 921 yards averaging 3.8ypc. His longest run was 35 yards.

Another fun fact. Our o-line is pedestrian compared to that one the Cowboys had then

I gotta admit, whan I watched Ingram in college he reminded me of Emmitt Smith.

Ingram looked a heckuva lot better this past year. I'm not ready to write him off just yet.

Only the second lost fumble in his pro career, it had to happen sometime.

HA yeah right? Literally the worst possible moment for his first fumble (of the season).

I mean there are fumbles and there are FUMBLES... given how well he'd been playing it just makes you feel like the kid is snakebit.

If he would spend his free time watching tape instead of waiving a towel at college games or "bumping into" HS running backs in New Orleans, he may turn out to be a good to really good back. He ran hard and had burst at the end of the season.
Eta: still think Robinson is better due to his wiggle.

Ingram is built like and runs just like Smith. I agree. The difference is Dallas' OLine was much better.

No way does he even approach Smith's vision. Built like? Yes. That and the same number are the only thing in common.

Well, yeah! Emmitt was a lil more shiftier that's why he's the NFL yards leader, but as I said the big difference is OLine. Dallas' massive Oline opened up huge damn holes. But more than a number, brah, Ingram does run like him, just not as shifty.
