At some point, all of the SEC will start claiming every national championship ever recognized by a selector who has recognized a rival team. It is up for the fans and the athletes to determine which ones are bullshite.

Nope
They already claim 1957 and it's legit as far as I know. They went 9-0-1 in 1958, though.

Only half of it is.
They were on probation in 1957. The AP poll proclaimed them national champions. The UPI (coaches) poll didn't recognize teams on probation.
