I'll gladly pay $120 a year. $10 a month?

Excellent job highlighting the article in quote form, and giving the amounts that it may increase.

I just bought a year subscription of Prime for $39 after my student discount. Glad I went ahead and bought it

Additionally, Amazon said during its conference call it may increase the cost of its popular Amazon Prime subscription by $20 to $40 due to higher fuel and other shipping costs.

$40 is still a steal

I cant believe that the price hasnt gone up already honestly. The fact that I can get pretty much whatever shipped to my door for free is crazy

Is it a continuation of the student discount? Do you get instant video access?

its the typical corporate attitude of "its just another $20"

Therefor the average consumer is likely to pay it for the conveniences where as the few that won't find it useful for the new price bail. however, the $20 increase offsets the lost memberships, and thus eases the strain in shipping manpower. Same bottom line but less overhead.

I don't use Amazon Video so I'd gladly give that up. Also, I don't buy a ton of stuff via Amazon so a price hike makes it less of a bargain. Although, if they hiked the price I will probably pay it and buy more stuff via Amazon to make it worth it. Which is what they want. Dammit.
