BATON ROUGE - Freezing temperatures and frozen roads are keeping schools around the area closed for a third day in some cases.
The following schools and universities announced closures for Thursday, Jan. 30:
* Assumption Parish Schools
* Baker Schools
* Central Community Schools
* East Baton Rouge Head Start
* East Baton Rouge Parish Schools
* East Feliciana Parish Schools
* Iberville Parish Schools
* Inspire Charter Academy
* Pointe Coupee Parish Schools
* St. Helena Parish Schools
* St. James Parish Schools
* St. Paul Adult Learning Center
* Tangipahoa Parish Schools
* Trinity Christian Academy, Zachary
* West Baton Rouge Parish Schools
* West Feliciana Parish Schools
* Wilkinson Co. Christian Academy (Woodville, Miss.)

Everything is okay now except for a few bridges. But if they aren't open by 6pm tonight they'll likely be closed till 10am tomorrow.

Interstate being closed would put all the buses and parents driving kids on surface streets to compete with all the other traffic that would normally be on interstate. That would be a disaster traffic wise.
