One of my favorite Houston Astros ever, and one of my MLB players ever. Had a great career and loved watching him play for years. To Lance Berkman.

Greatest story of any outfielder. In college he ran back for a fly over his head. Bounced against the wall. Got up and threw it toward the infield but it was a windy day and a paper bag caught the ball and stopped it for a home run.

I'm glad that the Cardinals were able to fulfill his dream of winning a World Series. Will always be a beloved Cardinal player in the hearts and minds of the best fans in baseball.

My sister is friends with his wife so I've got spend some time chatting with him...

When he found out I went to LSU he told me a story about playing the Tigers in a regional game... He said he was playing left field and a ball was hit pretty well over his head. While he was backpedaling the noise of the crowd approached him so quickly he thought he was near the fence and the ball was going to clear for a home run... So he stopped and turned to watch the ball land on the warning track. Said Wayne Graham chewed his arse pretty good back in the dugout and the fans were on him the rest of the game... He's a pretty funny story teller.

Class act, sad to see him hang it up. Really reminds me I am getting older to see he is retiring from baseball.

To the last of the Killer B's...

He had a fine career and, even though it was in St. Louis, I was happy to see him win a World Series.

Fat Elvis will be missed.

Glad I got to see the Big Puma play for the Astros. Great hitter and amusing outfielder

One of the greatest switch hitters ever. If not for injuries, I think he would have had a chance at getting into the HOF.

Lance always reminded me of Tony Stewart. They both usually had that chunky, unshaven look going.
