I'm thinking about switching to DirecTV. It seems like all the programming has gotten more expensive over the years. Was wondering what everyone's bill is for DirecTV. I have an outdoor tv with an HD antenna on it and i'm trying to decide if i want to run satellite to my outdoor tv also.

I have referred 10 friends. Went from 120 after all the pay channels free trial ran out to 30$. They give 10 bucks off each referrel but I think they stop at 9 because the 10th refund never happened.

Direct is great until the 2yr breaks go away. I pay almost $100 a month for 1 DVR box and 2 regular boxes. I have the middle package and none of the Premium channels. All of the additional shite is where they get you. The channel package is only 54.99 but every TV is 6.99 a month plus you pay $5 for the HDTV.

That is what i am looking at, with introductory pricing with 3 tv's in HD i will be paying about 70 dollars a month but after a year it would be about 100 dollars a month. i dont know if its worth it.

I've had Directv for more than 5 years. Little to no problems while living in BR. It would go out in heavy rain, but you more/less knew to expect it if it was coming down hard.

Recently moved and I'm done with them. 2 Saints games were screwed up this year. 1 the entire broadcast was in Spanish (No habla espanol) and 2 was the playoff game against Seattle. The last 7 mins were off air prior to the previous 20 mins of real time going in and out. I called Directv and she said it was the broadcast station and not Directv, but nobody on the Saints board who had cable had an issue. Suddenlink has many fewer channels but the bill is $25 cheaper and shouldn't have to worry about losing signal during a Saints game again.
