According to Pro Football Focus, Graham lined up as a tight end only 33 percent of the time in 2013.

Graham does line up out wide a lot.

a lot more than guys like Shockey, Billy Miller, Eric Johnson, and Ben Watson ever did/does.

the Saints run a hybrid West Coast scheme.

but you do see a lot more TEs lining up wide these days.

offenses continue to evolve I guess.

He's a TE that spends a shitload of time at WR.

If I were his agent though, I would argue WR.

Did he go to the Pro Bowl as a wide out?

Dude is a tight end.

He is a tight end. It isn't really debatable. Tight ends catch passes too.

Well then why not designate Calvin Johnson as a tight end and pay him less?

But what makes a tight end a tight end? Just the label? Where he lines up? Amount of time spent blocking?

Sure it is. Objectively he spends 1/3 of his time at TE.
