I have a pair of wood ducks and I'm trying to decide on the pose I want to mount them in. I originally wanted to do the drake and hen sitting with their feathers puffed up, but after doing some more research I'm open to a few other poses. Here are a few of my favorites so far.

This top pic is exactly what I originally wanted.

Now this above picture is my new favorite except I was thinking about doing the drake posed as in the first pic, but he may look out of place. I also don't like the box I would want to do a hole in a tree or stump to look more natural.

I also like this one a lot except I would position the drake differently, possibly like he is in pic 1.

I like this one, but it's to common and doesnt do the birds justice imo

I also like this one in the tiny pic.

What are yall's opinions? Please post your on pictures and suggestions.

I like something like this but with the drake fluffing his feathers up a bit.

To OP : # 3 except instead of that slab of wood the hen is on, use something natural maybe the extension of the log the drake is on. Ruffle her feathers looking at him like she's bitching at him.

I don't know how I'd get them done, but I do know this.

After the Lawd said "let their be wood ducks", he broke the mold.

There are tons of beautiful creatures and critters running around this Earth, but IMO, none is more beautiful that Mr. Drake Squealer. Every time I kill one, I find myself staring at him, just admiring the colors on him.

I swear that the coolest mount I ever saw was of two wood ducks. the hen's head was tucked in sleeping and the drake was standing guard right behind her.
