Because of an alleged rape from November 2009

Why did it take so long for the University to do anything about this? If the expulsion was effective as of December 20, why was his absence from the BWW Bowl dismissed as a case of "family issues?"

It's not even that it's Michigan, the way that they handled this is terrible and shameful.

he did not play in the last two games of the regular season. While this is surely an embarrassment, there is nothing that can be done against the university, so you and the rest of your spartan friends can stop obsessing.

Right, but he was out against OSU because he tweaked something. OK, fine. The Bowl game was played 9 days after the expulsion, yet the reason given was "family issues." A total lie.

You should probably find this embarrassing.

Which is why nothing happened with this until after this season. Gibbons was a mediocre kicker, but Lewan.....

Really? Why are you guys bringing your rivalry with Michigan into this? This is beyond sports

Lewan is a piece of shite. It's nothing new. He blindsided two Ohio State fans last November the night of the game and was high fiving the cops laughing about it.

I agree, but what does this have to do with the institution of Michigan? Is Jayru Campbell breaking a security guard's neck an indictment of spartan football?

Why did your university try to sweep aside a rape in order to protect the football program?

That's the point. This is beyond rivalry, it's about a school that takes great pride in occupying the moral high ground in all situations allowing an alleged rapist to represent them. By expelling him, they are conceding that he did something wrong. They handled this terribly, and they lied about it. That's wrong, whether it's Michigan or Middle Tennessee.

He has never played a down for Michigan State, nor has he spent a day enrolled at the university.

Having a hard time coming up with a scenario where someone in authority did something illegal. Still waiting to hear what anyone did wrong considering how the police investigation played out.

Lololololol

Michigan the institution, Michigan the football program, and Michigan the fanbase all act like they do no wrong. Your star fricking lineman threatened a girl who was raped by his teammate/roommate. Michigan played it off for years. It's not that hard to figure out.

It happened in 2009. Everyone that was involved then is gone. RR, the AD, everyone.

As a Penn State fan, I hope Michigan doesn't go through the level of NCAA horseshite we had. As a human, I hope the truth comes out and those that committed crimes or put football over all else are brought to justice.

Bitter part of me finds it funny that NOW a Michigan Man recognizes what is outside of the scope of football.
