Where do I find the pay scale for local union jobs?

I don't know the rate but can tell you the local doesn't put enough into retirement. Main reason my brother left Louisiana back to Vegas.

I have never worked for a union but just got a offer this morning We have not talk pay yet.

They have their pros and cons. A big con here is the quality of the workforce. If you are big on them contributing to your retirement it will be hard to take advantage of that in Louisiana. Typical I want my money now mentality. The good thing is that you can transfer. Vegas has a lot of work, pays more , and contributes to your retirement better. Australia pays well but it is hard to get there since they want to hire Aussies.

This is not true in any sense for all crafts.

In la every job site has a different rate. The union guys like the nuclear plant since they pay the best.
