Just curious, as I haven't seen it discussed, but how is his defense? I imagine he's quick enough to stay in front of anybody, but at his size, does he just get posted up/shot over?

I don't know what to make of it either. Yes it is only DLeague, but he's crushing the DLeague like it's never been crushed before. If I read you off a list of the top 10 all time DLeague scorers you'd say "who" to all of them, but maybe Reggie Williams, who happens to be closest on the list to Pierre at 25.2 ppg.

I've been all over his progress, and his defense is actually very impressive to me. His feet and hands are as quick as anybody in the NBA. But he does struggle closing in on 3's because of his size. He can fly though and grab some rebounds.

He turns the ball over a ton too. But that can be fixed with quality training.

Thanks. I've only watched some YouTube highlights and they, of course, focus on his scoring.

It's also worth noting that he measured a 42.5" vertical which is top 20 all time according to this list

Come one guys

I mean we have Brian Roberts throwing passes out of bounds and Austin Rivers bricking lay ups

What could we possibly need a legitimate back up guard for?

We're getting him sooner or later.

It's a matter of waiting out this season so that we get the full use of him before he becomes an RFA.

It will be interesting to see if he can score on demand. It's one thing when you're the #1 option on a DLeague team, it's another thing when you're getting 15 minutes every 3 games.

Rumors have been floating around about trading his rights... Which is why I want to sign him now instead of selling low and missing out on a potential long-term impact player.

What I've been hearing is that this is a case of Pierre and his reps being told by Dell to "Bring me the best deal you can find" rather than giving a flat "no" to him about a trade.

Yes, Ebanks is the #2 prospect currently behind Pierre. (As of about a week ago)

So maybe dominating the D League doesn't necessarily mean much.

He should have went to Europe.

Just get rid of the D-League. Nothing a player could do there except suck even counts.

That list is filled with conjecture. This doesn't have all the players but is at least an objective measurement.

Unfortunately, it only goes back to about 1997, so it misses Wilkins, Jordan, and Webb, who all had hops. I'm not sure I buy 48", even for His Airness.

Yea, the list was really just a measuring stick. It shows how impressive a 42"+ vert is.
