It will pass and most likely by a pretty large margin.

What I'm curious to see is if it passes in Florida, which national political figure(s) will take the lead on at least rescheduling MJ to something less than schedule I.

I love how the courts who represent the people have to make a ruling allowing the people to vote on what they want

Well, it is really to keep the people from getting screwed. If the title of the amendment said medical marijuana, but the language had a clause that required every citizen to hand their firearms over, people would get duped.

The Supreme Court review only looks to make sure no constitutional rights are affected without clear disclosure and to make sure the shorthand that goes on the ballot matches up with the longhand of the bill. It is a neccessary evil, IMO.

I really wonder how that vote will go. So many old people in Florida who aren't educated enough to make an informed decision on the topic.

Snow birds ruin all good things, but they will not ruin this. This will pass by a good margin. Awesome news to hear on my 50th birthday.

For the really sick people.

He has thrown some cash behind this for sure. I wonder what his true motivation is.

Really surprised at this. I really thought they were going to rule that "condition" was too vague. Awesome.

I've always been under the impression that many older folks smoke around Florida. I don't smoke but I signed the petition and will vote as well.

I know how screwed up our politicians and our government is. But I still have a hard time wrapping my head around issues like this where the majority of people of a state (or country) want something either to be legal or illegal and the governor (or powers to be) oppose it. The last poll I saw, 68% of Floridians questions favored this med marijuana initiative.Rick Scott doesn't care about this b/c it doesn't fit into his agenda or his beliefs. This is a microcosm of how our judiciary system fails us. If the people you govern want something in the majority then why are you against it? Politicians are supposed to be here to support its people, not oppose it. Politicians are supposed to listen to what it's people want and protect those rights, not decide on if that individual or group of people should have those rights. But you see, no politician cares about its people, none. They care about $$, power and re-election.
