Anyone own one of these? Heard they jam a lot and have lots of problems.

I bought one for my son a couple of years ago. Keep in mind it's not a true AR platform. Just the shell to make it look cool. He loves it and shoots it all the time. I havent had any issues with it cycling and have probably run 1000 rounds through it. I typically shoot the CCI rounds with no problems though I have shot the cheaper stuff too. My son has his tricked out with foregrips, laser sights, red dot, tactical flashlight. It's his money and he enjoys shooting it.

Is the S&W 22 worth the $500? Is it that much better

15-22 is so fun! And worth the money

another route is 10-22 and getting the archangel kit for it if you like the ar looks. But the 15-22 is built on the ar platform if thats what your looking for

The 15-22 does have some issues with out of battery discharges. This happened to me a few months ago. I had to get new extractor and spring. Sent to S&W the week before Christmas and had it back 2 weeks later. Still haven't had a chance to shoot it since getting it back. Hopefully it's good to go now

Is the M&P $250 better than the Mossberg?

All you need to do is go to Cabelas and pick up both guns. That will tell you all you need to know. The Mossberg is a cheap plastic POS

for quality and reliability... yes. Just depends on how you like your stuff. As stated the mossberg even feels chepa and plastic. its basically their cheap semi auto rifle with a plastic kit over it to look tactical. Where as the 15-22 is built off of an ar platform and is very nice, and well built

Like i said, if you just like the tactical look and dont want to pay $500 for the mp... get the ruger 10-22 for $199 and add the archangel kit to it for roughly $150. The 10-22 is a fine gun and the kit will spruce it up and make it look mean.. look them up.

15-22
10-22

the only routes i would go, wouldnt touch the mossberg

You can get them for much less than 500 these days. Go the bottom chart grabagun and kentucky guns are good places to buy from:
