Will LSU/SEC tell UK not to travel Monday night or Tuesday morning and reschedule the game?

I'm pretty sure they were still planning on having the gymnastics meet Friday night until they realized conditions weren't getting any better, so my guess is yes they can.

The problem is that Tuesday night during the game is supposed the be the worst part of the weather

No way this game is played Tuesday night. Even Wednesday night is dicey. A high in the 30s means the ice won't melt fast. Then it'll be in the 20s Wednesday night.

if cancelled is the best move is to play a double header in lexington? Obviously not for LSU but for travel and logistics.

Was thinking the same. Checked schedule and we do play them twice. When did that start?

When they did away with divisions and went to an 18 game schedule, the new format is now:

H/A with one permanent opponent (TAMU happens to be that for LSU)
H/A with four more teams that rotate off the schedule (UK, UGA, Arkansas and Vanderbilt)
And just one game with the other 8 teams

Cancel a game and school when temps are in the 30's? Not sure if serious.

Don't forget the other team needs to travel in and back out again. That would be the most likely cause of a cancellation. Airlines and aircraft owners tend not to fly in only to have their planes get snowed and iced in, especially in a place that may not have de-icing equipment.

That's true but canceling school? That seems a little extreme. It's gonna be -11F with 30-50mph gusts here but schools and the airport are open.

It's not the temps. It's the sheet of ice we are supposed to get with it. Travel on the roads is impossible especially with all the bridges we have. It's not a common event so the gvt dies not have enough equipment to keep all these things de-iced

Does this really need to be explained? We don't get winter storms here, we have no salt or equipment to deal with these type of conditions. Plus every damn road has multiple bridges

If it closed this past friday, it will close tuesday. It's going to be much worse.

Louisiana government officials are too dumb to have a plan to combat the icy roads so they just say "frick it" and shut down the roads so the moron drivers can't hurt themselves by plowing into guard rails.

Made it from Killeen to college station in about 8 hours. College station to Houston in about 3. This was thursday.

Friday it took 22 hours to get from Houston to baker. Worst trip ever.

I'll never be caught in a driving situation again in Louisiana with iced bridges. Saw a lot of people get hurt those two days. :(

ETA hah all of that and I forgot my point. I surely hope they move the game if the conditions get bad,
