Well friend and family this waterfowl season has come to close for me. It was a good one and Im' already looking forward to next one, but now on to gobble gobble season and sacalait jerking. I will not miss the sugarass because I know for certian they will be waiting for me at the nearest duck hole next season, that the only thing that can be counted on for sure with Louisiana waterfowling.

Now that the season of hate is over I promise to be nicer except to BOURG so if any of you ever need hand with something other than the one person i mentioned just holler.

Feel free to report on how your season went and what you are lookingforward to or changing next years season of hate

So far a poop deer season for me, haven't seen a mother fricking buck all year and have been too many times to count.

Reason I gave up hunting durrs is cause i realize shitting in one hand and wanting in the other was a better use of time than sitting in a wooden box ten feet of the ground

I'm already looking forward to next season. Think I'm gonna really invest in duck hunting since there is so much public land hunting available.

Duck hunting sucks!! Me and my money are headed to St. Francisville area. Big bucks. Hogs. Plenty deer. Cheap leases.

No deer for me but a few hogs with my bow - saw plenty of deer but was too selective early - shame on me! Was on a hunt with my 17 yo son where he made a great decision and a great shot on a nice 9 point, then we used his dog to find it after a rain washed most of the blood away. Was cool to walk up and see his excitement telling me the story and what he thought happened. Made some great hunts with youth, including one with EJW and his son early in the season that was an absolute thrill ride even though his son did not kill one. Still a couple of weeks left for bow season but I am ready to pull out the boat and get ready for some fishing!

Halfway decent season in NWLA.

Only made a few hunts, but had a good time. Season opener of 3 limits by 8AM on public will be damn hard to top.

Ready to get yak life again.

Neck you got no love for bourgs?

We had an okay season... water levels fluctuated way too damn much. Killed lots "trash" birds. Looking forward to making a bunch of trips to big lake to catch some hog trout! Also, hitting the reds in reggio/delacroix.

It sucks that hunting has ended, but you can't beat days like today. Sitting out front watching kids ride bikes, enjoying the awesome sun and cold beer

Eta: my season sucked from a game harvesting perspective, but spent a lot of time in the woods and got to take two of three boys to the stand.

Today is always a sad day for me. Hunting is pretty much done.

I don't know shite about turkey or predator hunting....I know ducks and deer.

I had a blast this season with friends and family although our total count and quality of ducks was way down from historic levels.

I do have youth season and my boys will blast away with their .410 and 20 gauge....we will have fun and they may even pop a duck or two.

Already looking forward to the 2014-15 season....may it rain mallards.

And if there is a duck contest like you guys did for 12-13, I am in. I'll post some good photos next year of a beautiful bean field, my pit blind and hopefully a boatload of ducks.

Same here

This WAS my first year to deer hunt, got my first rifle (Remington 700 .270), killed my first doe, shot another one but didn't let it sit long enough before searching and never did find it. Found a ton of blood where it laid down but think I spooked it when I went to look. Tough lesson to learn but a necessary one.

Didn't get to prep at all this season so looking forward to next season.
