Season four is one of the best single seasons of any show, ever, IMO.

The first few episodes are tough but if you can get through it you will be hooked. It's my favorite show of all time.

If you don't like it after the first few episodes, give up. I absolutely love the show, but it's waaaay too slow for some people and it never changes.

I absolutely loved season 1 and 2. Very stylish, very well written and the actors are great. I quit watching very early in season 4.

I didn't start hating the show. It just seemed to keep building and building to some incredible climax and never could get there. I got bored.

I know a lot of people who have watched this show faithfully and love it. I tried but got bored and failed to see the allure.

Absolutely.

It is fantastic. Some people will say it is "slow" and I can see that, but it is the only complaint I have ever heard.

It is not Breaking Bad in a "Holy shite" kinda way, if that is what you are looking for.

Halfway through season 3, great writing and acting but it's very slow. Wife and I enjoy it but coming off breaking bad to madmen is like coming off speed and taking a Valium

Pretty much this. If you are looking for fast action, violence, special effects, etc. then this is not the show for you. If you are looking for well developed characters, intriguing dialogue, great acting and pretty authentic 60's period portrayal then you will like Mad Men.

Yes. It took me a while to get into it, I hated every character at first.

It gets better every season. This past season I realized how invested I was in all year characters that I could not fricking stand in Seasons 1 and 2.

I didn't really get into it until the end is season 1. It is a character driven show, not a plot driven show. Once you get to know all the characters and their tendencies you will love it.
