He tried to be funny and had a couple of quaint lines, but I think he would have done a better job if he'd done his research on the game.

Or maybe I just don't get it

yeah, I get it after living here for 10 years, that's the average Brits knowledge of the game, although in general the sport is growing in popularity amongst general sports fans here. It's ranked about 7 or 8 on the most watched sports on British TV (behind amongst other things, DARTS).

the majority would not, no. As I said in the post above, they watch darts on tv more than american football..

As a fan of football, rugby & comedy, I found it pretty funny.

The other two are also pretty funny if you know anything about baseball/cricket and basketball/netball

I did enjoy him calling ND a French team and when Alabama used a play action he said he "shows it to his friend" (talking about the RB)
