Did anyone see the frustration on Thornton's face during final minutes of overtime??? Think he was upset with Isaiah Thomas, Jr taking and missing all the shots along with turnover on final possession. What a way to waste a 42 point performance.!!!

He had a few nights like that in the purple and gold. Still pisses me off at the screw job we got of an 8 seed after winning the league that year. Gave UNC the game of the tournament just ran out of steam down the stretch that game. Should've been a 4 or 5 seed at worst.

Monty Williams getting rid of Thornton was a giant mistake.

You mean a coach holding a personal vendetta and hating a fan favorite and refusing to compliment an exciting guy doesn't show sign of a future great coach?
You mean acting like a bitch to the one guy besides cp3 on your team who could create his own shot was a bad idea?
Youi're trying to tell me you wouldn't have played Willie Green over a guy who won you multiple games that year?

Pfffffft

I still can't billieve the amount of people who blindly supported monty in that shite when he had 0 actual facts to back him up

Reasons why that team was an 8 seed:

30 point loss to Utah on the road
Loss to Xavier at home
Losses in 3 of last 5 including unranked Vanderbilt and Auburn

Team showed it couldn't play with consistency... Best player is a guard.. Little post presence.

Oh blow me. They went 13-3 in the SEC and Tasmin Mitchell wasn't a post presence? They were ranked 20th in the country when brackets came out. Everyone, including analysts, were shocked at the 8 seed. Got absolutely robbed and played UNC the toughest game of the tourney...backing up the fact they got screwed.

Also, guards win championships in the NCAA tourney so idk why it matters the best player was a guard.

LSUButt in the house! Get him right.

Marcus Thornton is the best scorer I've seen at LSU. Chris Jackson was before my time.

He had a great game. He really should be getting 40+ minutes a night.
