Life isn't fair, and you want to try to make it more fair through government.

Is that an accurate thesis of your beliefs?

What would be an accurate thesis?

That's the thesis for their beliefs unless someone on the right complains about a law treating men unfairly.

In that case, loony lefties like Assrob1 say, "Get used to it. Life is unfair".

I think it's more of a "If I can't be happy, nobody can be happy" kinda thing.

I think many of them equate fairness with equality.

No. Liberals wanting things to be "fair" is a conservative belief.

I think conservatives are more obsessed with "fairness." Especially in terms of what people "deserve."

Liberals in general think that things can be made better than they are today.

By creating a "fair playing field", right? This is a phrase I hear very often from the left.

"Better". Better how? Seems to usually have something to do with making things more "fair" for people they see as being unfairly treated.

Affirmative action, min wage laws, "free" lunches, welfare "benefits", universal healthcare....all Liberal staples and all under the guise of "fairness".

It's sad how many people have trouble understanding the reasons and nuances of the views of others.

Pick any one issue that is divisive, and it is easy to understand a person's reason for taking either side of the issue.

save it. you won't get an honest answer and if someone tells you no and believes it, they are a retard.

liberals believe that government is the cure to natural selection, because nature is so unfair.

democracy provides the opportunity for success and wealth, people somehow misconstrue that to believe the opportunity is a job, or money, or education.

no, the opportunity is that, unlike your ancestors, you can be anything you want, do anything you want, it doesn't mean everyone starts at the same place, it doesn't mean everyone has the same chance, it means no one is stopping you.

Being raised in a Christian nation, founded by Christians and whose laws written with Christian ideals, my core belief is the country and government should afford freedoms and liberties equally to all citizens.

If you disagree with that notion, you're probably living in the wrong country, bub.

Can one of you explain why my statement is wrong and explain what is the core of your beliefs?
