The highly coveted Norcross defensive lineman took an official visit to LSU last weekend, and in doing so, has begun giving serious consideration to the Tigers out of Baton Rouge, La. The well-oiled NFL machine that is LSU’s defense is one of the biggest draws for the No. 1 recruit in the state of Georgia.

Longshot but still makes me happy with the coaching staff that we made up this much ground with such an elite OOS player.

May be true, but I remember years not too long ago where we just wanted a seat at the table

Not comparing the two, but Clowney said almost these exact same things about us right before signing day. Dude is going to UGA.

Don't think you can lump Jernigan in that group. He was a silent commitment to LSU for a few months, but when it came down to it he just wanted to stay home. It happens

LSU just being a hat on the table for so many drives me crazy, but I suppose we have to be happy that LSU has enough prestige that just being able to have our hat on the table is a status symbol.

I agree with everyone that it is probably not going to happen.

But we aren't now just another hat on the table.

I believe we were, he thought he would take a look just to see and got a bit more than he really expected. Now he has serious decisions to make with regard to LSU.

Still a long shot and unless I see more signs that LSU is in his head I will assume we end up falling a bit short.

We also nabbed, Montgomery, ego, and bower from the east coast at the last minute. I don't think we are just a hat on the table.

this is a business decision

LSU is in the business of preparing young athletes for the NFL

all he needs to do is look at Kiki Mingo to see his potential.
