Posted this on the OB because I figured y'all would point me in the right direction. I'm looking for a watch I can wear everyday and hunt with. Not a silver or gold dress watch but a casual watch I can do some hard work in. Any suggestions?

I wear a luminox chronograph at work and hunting. Really like it.

Luminox. I've worn mine every single day for almost 2 years now and love it. Hunt and fish pretty hard throughout the year and it hasn't missed a second. Mine is the stainless version so it's not as light as some of the other ones, but I'm used to it and my watch tan will prove it.

Luminox felt awkwardly big on my wrist, so I have been wearing a Victorinox Swiss Army XLT that has held up really well. Got it from Jomashop for like $150

You need a sapphire crystal and stainless bezel for sure. I'd look at some more modestly designed diving watches, since they are usually built for abuse. A really neat, IMO, German company I gave an order in with offers a super nice one called the Prodiver.
Prodiver
Tons of options on dial and hand color and bands.

Also make one called Seatime.

Seatime
Nice watches that are automatics, and you could band change easily enough where the watch would fit any situation.

Gaston--How do you know you'll like a $1000 watch you order online? What is the return policy at Stowa?

Luminox or G shock for ruggedness

Orient Mako
Hamilton Khaki series with rubber or NATO strap
Christopher Ward C60
Seiko Monster
Seiko Shogun or Sumo
Stowa Sea Time
Steinhart Ocean
Tissot Seastar

And my watch the Victorinox Chrono Classic XLS. It as been a great watch.

I'll have to continue to look.

I ordered something I know I'll like since i wear something similar now. I have a 38mm pilot, and I ordered a 40mm one with a bit wider band.

Quality control is ridiculous. The owner Jorg actually inspects every watch and writes up a card at the time of shipment. There is so much customization available, for mine I could have gotten blue hands or an onion crown, that you pretty much get what you order. If it was wrong I'm sure they'd take it back.

The wait time is months for your watch, so I'd hope you'd order exactly what you'd want. I check my spam folder everyday looking for a payment request. I ordered the beginning of November.

Hard to believe if you picked the colors you like that you wouldn't be blown away when it arrived.

I don't wear plastic sunglasses and sure as frick don't wear plastic watches...though the new Swatch movement has caught my eye.

Wear everyday does not imply a plastic watch for me, and it never has.
